110926 San Francisco

I spent the week of 26 September to 1 October in the San Francisco area for business.  I was quite busy the entire week.  But my flight home was scheduled in early afternoon of Saturday 1 October, giving me a chance to go photo hunting in the morning.

A college friend took me to Fort Point at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge during a trip earlier this year.  I decided to return there this time.  I checked out of my hotel before dawn, and reached my destination over an hour later.  The weather was cloudy and windy, typical of this location.  One of the pictures taken there is shown below.

After a few more pictures, it was time for coffee and breakfast.  A quick check of Google revealed a Starbucks nearby.  This coffee shop was actually located in the Presidio.  The guard was very nice in letting me park, and even showed me where the ILM (= Industrial Light & Magic) Studio is.  At its entrance is a statue of the iconic Yoda.

The coffee break worked wonders as it melt away the morning cold of San Francisco.  After a short rest, It was time to head toward SFO airport for my flight home.
